It has become apparent that Memphis (Tennessee) is becoming ground zero for the rapidly growing field of AI (Artificial Intelligence) development. Why is that, you may ask? In a word, xAI, Elon Musk’s venture into the ever-burgeoning AI sector of IT (Information Technology). Elon Musk and his xAI team are currently constructing the largest AI data center in the known, and possibly unknown, universe in Memphis, Tennessee. Why would Elon choose to put his data center in Memphis, a large metropolis in the southwest corner of Tennessee, along the banks of the Mississippi River? There are several possible reasons for his choice of a location. A few of these reasons are listed below.

The most likely reason, which is not listed above, that Elon Musk chose Memphis as the location for his xAI data center is that Memphis sits along the Texas Gas natural gas pipeline.
The new site already has 23 natural gas-powered electrical generators, because this data center will use enormous amounts of electrical energy.
Memphis also sits atop five very large aquifers. These can provide the necessary amount of clean water for keeping the equipment cool and running smoothly.
