It has become apparent that Memphis (Tennessee) is becoming ground zero for the rapidly growing field of AI (Artificial Intelligence) development. Why is that, you may ask? In a word, xAI, Elon Musk’s venture into the ever-burgeoning AI sector of IT (Information Technology). Elon Musk and his xAI team are currently constructing the largest AI data center in the known, and possibly unknown, universe in Memphis, Tennessee. Why would Elon choose to put his data center in Memphis, a large metropolis in the southwest corner of Tennessee, along the banks of the Mississippi River? There are several possible reasons for his choice of a location. A few of these reasons are listed below.

… has a large modern airport.
… is located at the junction of several major interstate highways.
… is a major hub for several major railroads.
… is located on the banks of the Mississippi River, with lots of barge traffic.
